Community music encourages every person to make music. Initiated from life, the unique voices present different pictures of society. In music we embrace the past, present, and future of our cities, countryside and communities.
Centre for Community Cultural Development (CCCD) has been promoting community music in Hong Kong for more than a decade.
This year, CCCD is organising Hong Kong's first Community Music Conference for the Asia Pacific Community Music Network. There will be six online gatherings starting on Saturday 31st October to 5th December.
The aim of the conference is to foster understanding and co-operation among the region's community music educators and practitioners by strengthening our networks and sharing ideas about the different aspects and issues within the Asia Pacific region.
Each gathering will start with a keynote conversation which will be followed by parallel sessions of presentations, workshops and roundtables. There will also be plenary discussions and performances.
Come and join us. It is free!
