"An Unprecedented Musical Feat"

The Long Walk is a journey in music, images and songs in response to the 2004 Morecambe Bay tragedy in which 23 cocklers lost their lives. The Long Walk features words from acclaimed writer Lemn Sissay, powerfully sung by professional musicians and a massed community choir against a dramatic backdrop of evocative digitally projected images which take the audience on a powerful and sensory journey through people’s lives and across continents.

Artistic Director : Pete Moser

Pete Moser has been the Artistic Director of More Music in Morecambe since 1997. He has written scores for many theatre, opera and dance projects as well as songs for occasions and large-scale choral pieces such as Start Again, a celebration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. More Music won the prestigious Arts Council England North West art06 award.
