[文學心靈漫遊]是Tjebbe van Tijen倡導的網上社區文化旅遊。既可在家中溜覽、亦可在地上網。既提倡/促進文化旅遊，又極具文學性教育性，對歷史的觀照、文物的保育亦有重大的意義。
如油尖旺區的[文學心靈漫遊]網會提供該區同一地點，如上海街或榕樹頭古今不同年代的影像，再配上文學作品描述該地點的選段(可來自散文小說詩歌或其他文體)。
香港準備好接受[文學心靈漫遊]了嗎？其實它須要的許多基本資料都已經存在。香港已經有許多中英文的故事和詩歌。還有小思在中文大學開展了的文學研究中心計劃，亦有香港英文文學的數碼庫網址。
最重要的還是我們已經進入了數碼社交網絡的時代。我們的手提或一般不流動的工具，使我們擁有許多機會齊來建構香港的文學心理地理學/文學心靈漫遊，分享知識和文化。我們可以想像如何共同把書本的內容和片段與及歷史背景累積，又用上那些變得越來越輕便的手提電話和電腦與這些資料互動。大學專家乃至業餘義工都可参與合作…圖書館則可以安排專書的部份，而當人們漫遊香港街道時也可以上網閱讀或聆聽那些文學選段。許多長年累月沒有人看的書籍再也許會找到新讀者，或許又有人寫下新的感受，形容他們經驗的城市
– 他們甚至可以懷着文學心靈漫遊的考慮而寫作這些東西。

"Mapping city memories for a humane urban planning" is a course that Tjebbe van
Tijen gave as a 'visiting fellow' in the first half of this year at the School
of Creative Media of the City University of Hong Kong. It is a study of "the
change of city atmospheres as experienced by its inhabitants over long periods
of time, as only the understanding of the lifetime of a city will make it
possible to plan its future in a humane way, to retain - what has become dear,
to alter what is despised." One of the methods to achieve such an insight is the
method of 'literary psycho-geography' as developed by Tjebbe van Tijen over the
last three decades:
As a closing event there will be a public lecture for which a special meaningful
venue has been chosen close to City University, the splendid rooftop of the
Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) in Shek Kip Mei. The rooftop is open
from 18:30 onward allowing people to enjoy the view both by daylight and after
dusk.
There will be drinks and bites and when it is dark - around 19:30 - the visual
lecture scrolls will be projected onto the theatre like walls of the rooftop.
if it rains we will endure like real Hong Kong rooftop dwellers; parasols,
umbrellas and plastic foil will be on supply, or with foresight you may have
brought your own.
The lecture will be given at the rooftop of the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre
(JCCAC) in Shek Kip Mei Hong Kong on Friday June 24th. from 19:30 to 21:30 hrs.
Rooftop access from 18:30 onward for those who want to enjoy both daylight and
evening view. JCCAC is situated at 30 Pak Tin Street and can be reached by MTR
station Shek Kip Mei, Exit C; in the JCCAC building take elevator to the top
floor and walk the steps to the roof of the building.
"Literary psycho-geography is a method that allows to travel back in time, space
and mood of a city and to learn - through citations - from a multitude of books
and other literary sources the widely varying ways in which a city has been
experienced. Opposing such a multiple view of the past of a city to the singular
determinism of the social and urban planning machine of today, will empower
opposition, will help to formulate alternatives."
The lecture will end with a proposal:
Would a literary-psycho-geography of Hong Kong be a good idea? A lot of
groundwork has been done already. Several compilations of literary texts,
fiction and poetry, do exist for Chinese/Cantonese texts, texts written in
English and translation combining the two. There is a database of Chinese
literary texts related to Hong Kong, a project initiated by Professor Lo Wai
Luen of Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong Literature Research Centre),
there is also a Hong Kong English Literature Database web site, and so on...
Most important we have entered the age of digital social networking and with our
mobile and static devices there is a multitude of opportunities to make such a
'Literary Psycho-geography of Hong Kong' a collaborative work, a sharing of
knowledge and culture. One can imagine the many possibilities both on the level
of adding and ameliorating books and citations and their historical context, and
all kind of ways to interact with this data, especially with 'space conscious'
mobile devices like mobile phones and tablet-computers. Translation of citations
in at least three languages/scripts is very much needed in a society that is not
really bi-lingual and thus cultural barries as they exist now between
Chinese/Cantonese and English and who know which other languages need to be
added, can be uplifted. Both specialised academic translation institutions and
amateur volunteers can join in and collaborate.... Libraries can make special
book-shelves. While roaming the city people can switch their mobiles to a Hong
Kong Litpsy website and read or listen to literary citations. Books untouched
for decades on library shelves may find new readers, people may even start to
write new texts on how they experience their city with such a 'literary-psychogeography
digital sharing machine' in mind.
