Fanishwar Bhasker - a modern Indian dancer

Fanishwar Bhasker，曾在印度著名的 Bhoomika Creative Dance Centre 全職習舞（現代及古典舞蹈、古典音樂吟唱、武藝、按摩、燈光設計等）八年之久。他把傳統舞姿溶入現代舞，對印度現代舞之父 Uday Shankar 的理念與創作方法和受 Uday Shankar 影響極大的印度現代舞發展，有深刻的觀察和認識。他現在是全職的舞者／編舞者和導師。

Fanishwar Bhasker 到過印度各地的 Uday Shankar 舞蹈節、俄羅斯、法國、巴基斯坦、巴勒斯坦等地演出、並應邀到德國編舞。

他兩年前應亞洲民眾戲劇節協會的邀請專程來港進行交流活動，主持工作坊及公開演出。這回他應澳門舞團邀請編舞，順道來港，再度主持工作坊及演出新作。孟加拉著名劇團 Aranyak 成員 Shamima Shawket 亦將會以特別嘉賓身份，演出載歌載舞的折子戲。

Fanishwar Bhasker integrates the traditional gestural vocabularies of Chhau, Kathak, Bharata Natyam into his dance movements.

Fanishwar has been trained in the Uday Shankar methods and has been a professional dancer of the famous Bhoomika Creative Dance Centre for many years. He has performed all over India, France, Palestine, Pakistan, Russia and Hong Kong.

He had a one month residency in Hong Kong two years ago and has been invited to go to Macau to choreograph for a dance group.

On this second visit of Fanishwar to Hong Kong, he will facilitate in a 6 hour workshop and present a solo performance. Well known Bangladeshi actress, Ms. Shamima Shawket (a member of the well known theatre group, Aranyak) will be the guest artist performing some drama skits which are dance based.
