“Viva a Diversidade Viva!
Embracing the Arts of Transformation!”

If we talk about 21st century issues, we will notice that one of the most important thing is to give a strong voice to all humanity and the capacity to listen, especially to the young people, who will be the leaders of the future.  At a time when crisis is knocking at every door and when problems seem unsolvable, how do our young people see tomorrow?

The Great Harvest of Hope(GHoH) is a multi-media performance to be created by 900 young citizens from all continents who will speak through 30 young artist-coordinators, 6 from each continent, all members of IDEA. They will use the ‘Citizen Notebook’ of words, images and music. The ‘writing’ of these 900 young people will be the raw material to be submitted to an IDEA website forum, condensed into a performance structure by professional actors, directors from Théâtre des petites lanterns (Canada) and Vichama Teatro (Peru), and a Coordinator from each continent, and then refined and crafted for performance by the 30 international young artist-coordinators for IDEA 2010 with the Théâtre des petites lanternes and Vichama Teatro actors. The final performance will be presented in Young IDEA Congress 2010 at Belém in Pará, north of Brazil, next to the Amazon.

Recruitment of Young Artist-Coordinator

We are now recruiting the Hong Kong young artist-coordinator, who will facilitate workshops, rehearsals and produce a local presentation with 2 groups of young people(to be referred by organizers), each of about 15 participants.  He/She will create a character to represent Hong Kong, with the participants and will be sent to Belém from June to July 2010, representing Hong Kong to participate in the International Exchange “Great Harvest of Hope” in the 7th IDEA World Congress “Live, Living Diversity, Live! Embracing the Arts of Transformation!” (IDEA 2010)
