Pete Moser 來自英國莫坎貝，是英國極負盛名的 More Music 社區樂團的藝術總監。 More Music 被譽為英國社區音樂運動中的成功典範，並於2006年獲得英國藝術年獎。

Pete Moser 曾是世界著名劇團 Welfare State International 的駐團音樂師，曾為許多戲劇、舞蹈和歌劇創作音樂，亦為慶祝聯合國人權宣言撰寫大型合唱音樂 Start Again (重新開始)，並於2008-2009年間在香港串連了英國和香港的基層社群和專業樂手製作大型音樂會《行行重行行音樂旅程》。

今次 Pete 在上海博覽會英國館與上海之民眾演出之後訪港，社區文化發展中心為他在香港安排一系列活動，包括在賽馬會創意藝術中心、香港嶺南大學、香港基督教青年會、Quarry Bay School舉行工作坊及講座。

Pete Moser has been the Artistic Director of More Music in Morecambe since 1997. He has written scores for many theatre, opera and dance projects as well as songs for occasions and large-scale choral pieces such as Start Again, a celebration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. More Music won the prestigious Arts Council England North West art06 award.

In 2008-2009, Pete Moser has produced “The Long Walk”, a large-scale community music concert involving community people and professional artists from Hong Kong and England.

Pete is visiting Hong Kong after performance with Shanghai locals in the UK Pavilion Shanghai World Expo 2010, and Centre for Community Cultural Development has organized a series of activities including workshops and seminars in JCCAC, Hong Kong Lingnan University, HKYMCA and Quarry Bay School.
 

參加者將於工作坊內體驗以人人皆可參與的形式集體創作節奏音樂、編寫旋律。在工作坊中參加者會創作出關於深水埗等香港社區的歌曲。

Participants will be creating rhythmic music in groups, writing new melodies in an informal but creative way that everyone can participate. They will also be making songs about Shamshuipo and other districts.

Welfare State International(WSI)是六十年代至千禧年代的先鋒劇團，以舉辦大型慶典活動聞名。Pete Moser將透過影像、詩篇和歌曲，分享他在WSI的經驗。

Welfare State International(WSI) Theatre Company is a collective of radical artists and thinkers who explored ideas of celebratory art, theatre and spectacle between 1968 and 2006. In this talk Pete Moser will share his experience as the music director of WSI with images, poems and songs.
