Centre for Community Cultural Development has invited Ms Gold Villar to give a lecture of the story of the success of the Philippine Educational Theater Association(PETA), and she will also share her experience in Women’s Theatre, Teen Theatre and Children’s Theatre in PETA.  Large amount of images and videos of PETA’s work will be shown for participants to get a glimpse of one of the most influential people’s theatre in the world.

Gold Villar is an actor, dancer, singer, facilitator, organizer and coordinator and is currently the Vice Chairperson of Metropolitan Teen Theater League(MTTL), the youth arm of the internationally known PETA which has 40 years of promoting Philippine culture and educating people, and remarkably bringing creativity and cohesion to the marginalized groups in the Philippines, while the practice has been influencing the whole Asia and even Europe.

Gold Villar is experienced in coordinating and facilitating local and international workshops for different communities, and specializes in Children's Theatre and Teen Theatre.  The pedagogy she uses is the world renowned Basic Integrated Theatre Arts Workshop(BITAW), dealing topics from personal to social issues, through extensive participatory theatre games in creative drama, creative sound and music, creative body movement and dance, creative visual arts and group dynamics.
