Mind the Gap創立於1988年, 一直為學習障礙表演者提供訓練及創作專業演出。現時是英國同類型劇團中規模最大的。除了全國及國際巡迴演出,Mind the Gap亦長期發展開拓主流藝術市場的社區藝術工作。

 

2015年開始,Mind the Gap 開展了大型戲劇計劃《Contained》 ,將不同能力者的故事透過不同藝術形式展現,於英國各地巡演,獲得極大回響:http://www.mind-the-gap.org.uk/productions/contained-2015/

有關導師:

 

Alan Lyddiard

 

Alan Lyddiard is an award-winning theatre and film director. He was Artistic Director of The Northern Stage Ensemble in Newcastle, UK from 1992 to 2005 and is currently Artistic Director of The Performance Ensemble, a company of performers over the age of 60 creating contemporary theatre works for audiences of all ages. 

 

His work has been seen across Europe and beyond and currently his adaptation of George Orwell's novel '1984' is playing in both Paris and Los Angeles. 

 

He recently directed 'Anniversary' for the Performance Ensemble in co-production with West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds, UK, which will continue to tour in 2017/18

 

He was director of ‘CONTAINED’, the touring performance piece for Mind The Gap, England’s largest learning disability theatre company, which will be touring in Europe and UK from January 2017.

 

Alan is best known as an advocate of community arts and the Ensemble Theatre model in the UK. 

 

 

 

Joyce Nga Yu Lee 李雅瑜

 

Joyce Nga Yu Lee graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a BA in Comparative Literature in 2006. She was subsequently awarded the Chevening Scholarship to further her studies at the University of Leeds and graduated in 2008 with an MA in Theatre Making. Based in Hong Kong working as Assistant Artistic Director with FM Theatre Power (2004 – 2007), then the UK since 2009, Joyce has been researching, creating and performing work internationally, including Hong Kong, UK, France, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Taiwan, Singapore, Cuba, Bolivia, Argentina, and mainland China.

 

Joyce’s directing credits include Cruel Hamlet (HK), Gift (co-director, UK), Trickster (UK and Ireland), Real Voices Real Lives (UK and Singapore) and Daughters of Fortune – Mia (UK). Her translation works include Nickeled and Dimed (English to Cantonese) and An Accidental Death of An Anarchist (English translation from Italian to Cantonese).

 

Joyce is currently working as Resident Director of Mind the Gap, England’s largest theatre company working in partnership with learning disabled artists.
